Information for Specialists and Breeders
Including Enthusiasts, Kennels & Catteries, Herpetologists, Rodentologists etc.
Practice owners Louise and Stuart both come from an animal enthusiast background. Louise’s parents owned & ran Stagsden Bird Gardens and she has been a vet for over 16 years. She holds a CertZooMed, is ex-president of the BVZS and an active member of numerous veterinary societies including ARAV, AAV, BCG, BSAVA and BVA amongst others, and frequently lectures at club and society meetings. Stuart’s family ran Bridge House Aquatics and as a store manager for 'Pets At Home' he has worked with animals for over twenty years.
All our nurses are qualified to at least City & Guilds Exotic Animal Nursing, and everybody that works at our practice has owned a wide variety of species, so we can personally identify with and relate to the needs of specialist animal owners.
We set up All Creatures Healthcare to meet a need for veterinary services beyond the normal standards, with a special emphasis on exotic animal care. We understand the monetary value of these animals, but also understand that in most cases they are also much loved and cared for pets, so the welfare of both animal and owner are paramount. We take referrals from and give advice to vets all over East Anglia.
Our practice is equipped to the highest standards; we have a purpose built sterile operating theatre, digital radiography suite, ultrasound diagnostic equipment, our own laboratory with specialist blood machines suitable for exotic species, sevoflurane anaesthetic equipment, micro-surgery kit, rodent dental care tools and more. We also use an external lab which specialises in exotics to provide additional services such as DNA sexing, virus testing etc.
We have a dedicated exotics ward, separate from those used by domestic pets, and can ensure predator / prey separation at all times. It is fully equipped with vivaria with heating and UV lighting, specialist exotic caging, nebulisation chamber and oxygen treatment cage. We stock a wide range of appropriate medication, including vitamins, supplements and food including diets, and will willingly source any specialist requirements.
We offer extended consultations as standard and we have resident on-site nursing cover 24 hours a day to ensure in patients receive proper monitoring and care. We provide all our own on-call cover, so you will normally see your own vet in the event of an emergency, and they will have your animals complete medical history to hand. We will make visits for larger collections, or where it is appropriate (for instance fish or large mammals). We are always available to offer advice, by phone, email or drop in.
Our prices are competitive, and we are happy to discuss discounted price packages, So contact us today to see how we can provide the support and expertise your animals deserve.
